Privacy Policy

GoFetch is built around a simple idea: your browsing and downloading should stay on your own device. This policy explains what data the GoFetch browser extension and this website (gofetch.tv) touch, where that data lives, and the few cases in which any of it leaves your machine. By using the extension or this website, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this policy.

This policy covers only GoFetch's own products — the GoFetch extension and this website. It does not cover the websites you visit with the extension installed, or any third-party pages linked from this site.

Information We Handle

Different parts of GoFetch touch different kinds of data:

• Detected media data (extension). To find downloadable videos and audio, the extension observes network requests made by the tabs you open and records resource information such as URLs, file sizes, and request headers (which may include Referer, Cookie, and similar fields needed to replay the request). All of this is kept only in your browser's local storage, is used solely to show you the resource list and to complete download tasks, and is erased when the corresponding tab is closed or refreshed. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
• Downloads and recordings (extension). Segment downloading, remuxing, and MSE/blob recording all run locally inside your browser. The resulting files are saved directly to your own disk through the browser's download mechanism. No media data passes through any server we operate.
• Hosting server logs (website). This website is a static site served by our hosting provider (GitHub Pages). As part of standard hosting, the provider may record technical log entries such as IP address, browser type, language, and access time. We do not combine these logs with any other data.
• Feedback you send us. If you choose to contact us through the feedback page, the details you write (problem description, page URL, browser version) are sent by email from your own mail client. We receive only what you actively submit, and use it only to respond and to improve the extension.

What We Do Not Do

• This website uses no cookies, no analytics, and no advertising or tracking scripts.
• The extension has no account system and never uploads your browsing or download data.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Disclosure of Information

Because the data described above stays on your device, we generally hold nothing to disclose. We may only reveal information where we are legally required to do so, or where you have made the information public or given us your explicit consent.

This site may contain links to third-party websites, and the extension by its nature runs alongside third-party pages. Those websites have their own content, policies, and practices, which we do not control and for which we accept no responsibility. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every website you visit.

Changes to This Policy

We may revise this policy from time to time. The revised version takes effect as soon as it is published on this page, with the revision date updated accordingly. Please check back periodically; continuing to use the extension or this website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
